Western Psych conducts a self support group meeting (no professionals involved) every second and fourth Wednesday of every month in Oakland. The meeting is conducted by Dave with help from his wife Sue (They have been running this group for many years (20+) and bring true life experience and leadership to the meeting) This is a very has useful event of "peers" for those with mental health challenges who wish to vent, be comforted, look for advice and otherwise just be with people who care).

People and family members of all those who suffer from bipolar or depressive order are welcome to attend and share in the care giving that is available in this support group.

There is free parking available at the top of the hill to the right of the Peterson Center just above WPIC. Go into parking entrance that has big dumpster in it and tell the guard that you are there for the meetup.

The group starts at 7:30 pm on the 4th floor in the conference room - Room # 413 A & B
