Orange County Bipolar Disorder Meetup is a casual social group for adults with Bipolar Disorder (aka Manic Depression) who want to socialize with other people who also have Bipolar Disorder.

Wouldn't it be great to have people to hang out with who understand our ups and downs. Wouldn't it be great not to have to explain ourselves or our disorder. Abnormal is the New Normal for us. But we want, deserve and CAN HAVE friends who understand, support us and don't judge.

That said, Orange County Bipolar Disorder Meetup is NOT a support group. We have no facilitator or moderator. Our membership is composed of persons with Bipolar Disorder rather than friends and family of those with that diagnosis. Friends and family may participate as guests.

If you are looking for a support group for yourself or a friend or family member with Bipolar Disorder please check our "About" page for links to organizations which provide those services.

If you are a friend or family member of a person with Bipolar Disorder and need information and support for yourself in dealing with that person, please chick our "about" page for links to organizations that provide those services.

I struggle daily with BP/depression. I push myself through each day, trying to appear normal, but others see me as having my moments! I would enjoy talking with others once again, where I can express myself and listen also.

It is a shame that more people with bipolar don't attend this meeting and make it a dynamic forum for us to share our experiences. It is important for people like us to exchange info so we can learn from one another.

Hi, I've also been bitten by the bipolar bug... type II to be more percise. I'm a recent transplant here from Colorado and unfortunately have little to no social life. It's nice to meet others that understand what your struggling with.

Hi, I was diagnosed with bi-polar when I was 24. I am now 35 and have come a long way from where I began. I tend to be on the manic side of bi-polar. I'd like to meet others with bi-polar.
