Introduction

Hi my name is Kathy, I was diagnosed with bipolar II in Feb of 2007. I didn't anything about the illness and I went through a lot of self hate. I thought I was the only person that ever felt this way. I needed to know that its ok to be me.

What do you expect or hope to get from the meetup group?

To meet others who been on the same life roller coaster that I been on and won't judge me. To be able to laugh and have fun with out being LABLED. Its hard because you are always fighting and blaming yourself are that was at least in my case.

Additional Information

"The road to getting well is a life time. I've just started on my journey I'm sure that I will have many ups and down and some set backs but I know that if I ask for help I can get it. When I look in the drak glass I see me strarting get well."

What kathy is saying about this Meetup Group

It so hard to feel alone and to keep eveything inside yourself it can tear at one. I needed to meet other people who also have the illness and cope with life and know that I can laugh and its ok. I was ready to deal with my illness, and to unerstand it better that why I wanted this group. Every person start their own track their way, mine had a few bumps to go through but I getting better. But I'm so glad that this was passed on to me through facebook I would have never know about meetup other networks can help.

    I have a question about Change of Meds

    "My Dr. and I are talking about taking me off the Seroquel and switching me to a new drug once it approved here in Canada it’s called ABILIFY This should be here in mid November my Dr. was telling that this new drug does cost more then the Seroquel...."
