Folks,

At the end of summer bbq I made reference to a book that revolutionized the way I thought about smoking. I chose to quit during my last hospitalization as I thought what better place to be in when your having the "uglies" trying to break the habit. I was a 20 year smoker and can attest to some of the small but positive changes my body has adjusted to in the 4 months since butting out. "Smoking merely relieves the situation that smoking created in the first place--the need for nicotine." It sounds simple but the author breaks smoking down to it's lowest common denominator.

Author- Allen Carr

The Easy Way To Quit Smoking(between $10-$15)

I am not a reformed do-gooder and could relapse at any moment myself but this is the longest cessation period I have had in my lifetime. Just thought I would put it out there!!

Hi Jeb.

I think Allen's book is one of the most important catalysts for change I have ever encountered. After 30 years, I quit cold as per Allen's suggestion and have not even held a cigarette in 2 years. What I am certain of, is that if I could successfully stop, then anyone can.

Good for you, and all the best in your efforts.

Be well, michael.

Thanks for posting this Jeb. I will check it out. I feel I might be at a stage where I finally want to quit.

By the way, did Ingrid or Joanne conspire with you to influence my smoking habits? I am just joking LOL.

Take Care and Be Well,

Paul
