We are DBSA Hillsboro and DBSA Forest Grove. We hold peer-led support meetings for people who live with mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder. Meetings are open to family members and other support persons. Not all our members are on Meetup so RSVP's do not reflect the size of the meeting.
Come join a group of self motivated people who have decided to take control of their bipolar (or any mood disorder) symptoms and journey to a calmer more stable place known as recovery. Each week we will discuss a new strategy that we can put in to our tool boxes for immediate or future use. This is a peer- lead support group where sharing and feedback are welcomed. DBSA Portland Eastside meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. We're an independent part of the national Depression Bipolar Support Alliance located in Chicago (www.dbsalliance.org.) We launched this website in 2009 so that people with a mood disorder could easily find our meeting on the internet. This Peer led support group is open to the public and any person that suffers with a mental health diagnosis. Membership is encouraged but not required to attend this drop-in 90 minute group.
